Job summary

Epiq Solutions is seeking a proactive Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team in Rolling Meadows, IL. You will be the first point of contact for employee technical needs, handling OS installations, troubleshooting, and hardware support to keep operations efficient.

The role requires strong customer service, familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux, and the ability to work both on-site and remotely. A supportive team environment and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in a Desktop Support role.
• Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Knowledge of printers and scanners.
• Experience with remote troubleshooting.
• Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide clear communication.
• Confidentiality and on-site/remote support capability.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade PC software and OS.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Provide timely and accurate user feedback.
• Support hardware, OS, and application software.
• Record and manage hardware/software inventory.
• Maintain security and data integrity on desktops.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues to improve systems.
• Provide on-site and remote support for connectivity issues.
