TEKsystems is hiring a Desktop Support Technician (Deployment) in Portland, OR for a contract role. The technician will travel to hospital campuses daily to deploy and support desktop hardware, imaging endpoints, and ensure Epic Hyperdrive readiness for EHR integration.

Job description

A Healthcare company in Portland, OR is hiring a Desktop Support Technician (Deployment) for a great opportunity!

Job Duties:

• Field Deployment & Logistics: Travel daily to multiple assigned hospital campuses and clinical sites around the Portland metro area.
• Safely disconnect, document, asset-tag, and remove aging thin-client PCs and peripherals following hospital data security compliance protocols.
• Unbox, mount, and install new desktop workstations, monitors, barcode scanners, badge readers, and printer connections at designated clinical stations.
• Epic Hyperdrive Readiness: Image and configure the new endpoints to comply with IT standards required for Epic Hyperdrive, ensuring smooth connection to the centralized electronic health record (EHR) network
• 13 years of technical experience in IT desktop support, hardware deployment, or field technician roles.
• Experience decommissioning and deploying PCs and peripherals in a structured, process-driven environment.
• Proficiency in desktop hardware installation, including workstations, monitors, barcode scanners, badge readers, and printers.
• Must possess a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle to transport small components between physical clinic sites around Portland
• High School diploma or GED is required
• Previous healthcare desktop support experience is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
