Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Quantam Solutions provides IT solutions and consulting for various clients. We offer a competitive hourly wage, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. We’re currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to support our client’s Incident Response Team in Frankfort, KY.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a qualified contractor to provide desktop support services as part of their Incident Response Team. This is an on-site position located in a cubicle environment at a secure data center in Frankfort, KY.

This role requires a professional with solid technical troubleshooting abilities, a customer-first mindset, and a commitment to reliable support. The position includes face-to-face and remote user support, so strong customer service skills are equally important as technical capability.

  • Business Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday, 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Your Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician
  • Strong knowledge in hardware/software troubleshooting and remote desktop support
  • Proficiency with Windows 10 operating system
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook 2013 or newer)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory
  • Basic network troubleshooting including mapping drives and general NAS knowledge
  • Ability to support VPN tools like GlobalProtect
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including:
  • Empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Ability to simplify technical explanations
  • Ownership mentality (not defensive or argumentative)
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and work in physically uncomfortable positions as needed
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Must be reliable and punctual

Preferred (Bonus) Experience:

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Previous experience working in high-volume or fast-paced support environments
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well as part of a team-oriented support unit
