TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Tucson, AZ for a contract, onsite role. You will handle end-user support, hardware upgrades, and printer/AV assistance while working with AD and Microsoft 365 tools. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

The role requires hands-on support, both in person and remotely, with a focus on timely resolutions and clear documentation in a ticketing system. Local travel is minimal. This position closes Oct 30, 2026.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and technical support to end users in person, remotely, by phone, and through email.
• Install, configure, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade desktop and laptop hardware.
• Troubleshoot Windows-based operating systems, applications, hardware, peripherals, and connectivity issues.

Desktop Support Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support to end users within an enterprise environment. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for desktop-related issues, supporting PC hardware, Windows operating systems, peripherals, network printers, mobile devices, and common enterprise applications.

This is a hands-on support role that involves troubleshooting issues both in person and remotely, installing and maintaining equipment, resolving hardware and software problems, supporting conference room and audiovisual technology, and ensuring users receive timely and professional technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and technical support to end users in person, remotely, by phone, and through email.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong desktop and PC troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving computer hardware issues.
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware and internal components.
• Experience supporting Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10 environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory.
• Understanding of common networking protocols, operating systems, and technical standards.
• Experience supporting peripherals and related accessories.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, OEM guides, and procedural documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and competing support needs.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is helpful but not required:

• Previous desktop support experience within a large enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting iPhones and iPads.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Teams.
• Experience with RSA SecurID.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Authenticator and multifactor authentication.
• Exposure to Microsoft SCCM / Software Center for software deployment and endpoint support.

This opportunity would be a strong fit for someone with an IT support, desktop support, field support, or deskside support background who has experience working directly with end users in an enterprise environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
