Job summary

Servbank is seeking a knowledgeable Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team in Danville, IL. You will provide technical support for desktops, laptops, software, printers, and peripherals, ensuring employees and contractors have reliable access to technology.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in desktop, helpdesk or related support.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Office, AD, and MS 365 Admin Center.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work independently or in a team; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support workstations and end-user devices.
• Assist with user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT team to resolve issues and support business needs.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users.
• Stay current with tools, technology, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
