Job summary

RTO National is seeking a customer-service oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our internal IT Infrastructure team in Greenville, SC. You will provide first-level support for desktop hardware, Windows OS, business applications, and network connectivity, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of IT help desk experience, an associate degree or higher, and working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an IT help desk or desktop support role.
• Experience with Windows desktop and server environments.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to users.
• Knowledge of AD/365 and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, OS, and applications.
• Troubleshoot issues methodically, escalate when necessary, and document progress.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, printers, and peripherals.
• Administer AD, Microsoft 365, and related access controls securely.
• Resolve LAN/WLAN/VPN connectivity issues and minimize downtime.
• Maintain documentation of requests, troubleshooting, and inventory.
• Educate employees on secure tech use and best practices.
