Job summary

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Technology Support Coordinator to join the technology department of the local government in Durham, NC. The role supports the desktop and network support team, troubleshoots, and coordinates with advanced support staff to resolve user requests quickly and efficiently.

As a full-time contract position at 37.5 hours per week, the pay rate is $27.00 per hour. This is a contract position through our firm, open-ended, with potential for permanent positions

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a directly related field.
• Three (3) years of IT technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate helpdesk services, provide user support, route inquiries to appropriate staff, and ensure timely problem resolution.
• Maintain equipment and system operation; update technical data; monitor systems and troubleshoot malfunctions; escalate issues per protocol.
• Prepare reports and documentation; gather data; recommend improvements to user support protocols and systemic issues.
• Maintain computer equipment; identify purchasing needs; inspect for proper operation.
