Job summary

UC Irvine's Office of Information Technology is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to provide expert desktop and infrastructure support for Windows, Mac, Office365, and OneDrive across campus. Under supervision, you will resolve a wide range of technical issues and contribute to testing and deployment of new technologies.

The role requires 3-5 years of desktop support experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to train users.

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of desktop and business/technical support systems.
Project management experience and ability to execute test plans.
Experience with DHCP, TCP/IP networking.
Strong communication and training skills for users at various skill levels.
Understanding enterprise processes and security standards.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting end-user devices.
Ability to document complex processes clearly.
Experience configuring server internals for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide desktop and desktop infrastructure support to OIT’s Specialized Desktop Support Services.
Apply skills as a seasoned professional to resolve a wide range of issues and applications.
Evaluate and test new technologies, including cost/benefit analyses.
