Position: Desktop Support Technician

Our client is seeking a motivated Desktop Support Technician with at least one (1) year of relevant IT experience to support our Rockville, Maryland office location.

This role involves maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.

Applicants must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff members.

The position reports to the local branch management and regional IT staff, following established guidelines to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

1. Work independently to analyze problems and develop solutions.
2. Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems.
3. Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security, and system groups.
4. Assist in vendor negotiations and contract management.
5. Archive data and dispose of outdated equipment.
6. Track software licenses on computer equipment.
7. Provide user support support as needed.
