Job summary

An IT consulting firm is seeking a Desktop Support professional in Rock Hill, SC. The role involves troubleshooting Windows operating systems, diagnosing network issues, and providing technical support to users. A minimum of an Associate degree in a relevant field and certifications such as A+, Net+, or CCNA are preferred. The candidate must have the ability to travel to remote support locations. This is a 6-month contract position offering a competitive compensation package.

Job Description

Job Title: Desktop Support

Location: Columbia, SC

Duration: 6 months

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems in a client/server environment
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computer and network problems
• Ability to drive and travel to satellite centers in Indian land SC and Chester SC to provide support.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience providing technical support to pc users in an enterprise environment
• Experience backing up user files, imaging pcs, and restoring data
• Networking experience installing and maintaining workgroup level equipment such as cabling, switches, and ap’s

PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
