Volt in Nashville, TN is seeking a Desktop Field Services Specialist to diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, and network issues for local staff and remote users. The role involves imaging, Windows 10/11 upgrades, peripheral setup, and active ticketing updates while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee IT problems involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or remote access.
• Provides timely resolution or escalation of problems to appropriate technical personnel.
• Provides incident status updates to management and end-users within the ticketing system.
• Supports and maintains effective relationships with users.
• Performs network, local printer and peripheral installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Imaging and deployment of desktops; upgrades to Windows 10 & Windows 11.
• Documents SOPs and customer service guidelines for remote IT support.

Job description

As a Desktop Field Services Specialist, you will:

• Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access
• Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel.
• Provides incident status updates to management and end-users within the ticketing system (Remedy Force)
• Supports and maintains effective relationships with users
• Network / local Printer, scanner and other peripheral installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Desktop imaging and deployment
• Upgrade workstations to Windows 10 & Windows 11
• Ticketing system documentation and knowledge base article creation
• Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.

This is a full-time opportunity.

Schedule: 8:30am to 5pm - Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
