Job summary

Volt is seeking a Desktop Field Services Specialist to diagnose and resolve employee IT issues on desktop, laptop, and network services. You will manage incident tickets, communicate status to users, and maintain professional relationships while deploying Windows 10/11 and peripherals.

The role is full-time with a standard daytime schedule, and compensation is based on experience with health benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Provide desktop, laptop and network assistance to employees with timely resolution or escalation.
• Utilize Remedy Force for incident tracking and status updates to users and management.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot peripherals and Windows 10/11 deployments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot incoming employee IT problems across desktop, laptop and network services.
• Provide timely resolution or escalate to appropriate technical personnel.
• Update tickets with current status in the ticketing system and maintain user relationships.
• Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripherals on the network.
• Image desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.
• Document standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines for remote support.

Job description

As a Desktop Field Services Specialist, you will:

• Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access
• Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel.
• Provides incident status updates to management and end-users within the ticketing system (Remedy Force)
• Supports and maintains effective relationships with users
• Network / local Printer, scanner and other peripheral installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Desktop imaging and deployment
• Upgrade workstations to Windows 10 & Windows 11
• Ticketing system documentation and knowledge base article creation
• Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.

This is a full-time opportunity.

Schedule: 8:30am to 5pm - Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
