Job summary

Pomeroy is seeking an IT Support Specialist to serve as the liaison between client tech needs and internal teams. You will diagnose problems, manage high-stress situations, and ensure quick, accurate resolution for Windows and Mac desktops.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, deliver strong customer service, and document actions in the Help Desk system while supporting routine workstation maintenance and office moves across client campuses.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Excellent customer service with professional communication in English.
• Ability to learn quickly and train on client applications.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and teamwork.
• Familiarity with ticket-tracking/workflow tools preferred (CA USD).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Windows and Macintosh desktops from network drop to the desktop.
• Respond to alerts and escalate issues to restore devices.
• Support Mac OS and Apple tools.
• Document troubleshooting steps in Help Desk system.
• Load and update antivirus and VPN software.
• Assist in creating knowledge base and user documentation.
• Assist with office moves and IT notices.
