Job summary

Cognizant in New York City is seeking a Desktop Engineer Lead to provide technical and operational support for traders and front-office users, ensuring high availability of trading applications and market data platforms.

You will support Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters and OMS/EMS apps, troubleshoot desktop, laptop and monitor issues, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents in a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in Trader Support Front Office Support or Financial Services IT Support.
• Strong Windows and Mac device troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy etc.).
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft 365 and basic networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS).
• Experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management or Brokerage environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms and trading floor infrastructure.
• Support trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa and OMS/EMS applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, desktops, laptops and multi-monitor workstations.
• Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM tools ensuring SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with application, network, infrastructure and vendor teams for issue resolution.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, user access management and hardware deployments.
• Maintain documentation and follow ITIL-based support processes.
• Experience supporting Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters and trading floor technologies.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow Remedy etc.).


• Strong communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.


• 4-8 years in Trader Support Front Office Support or Financial Services IT Support.


• Experience in supporting Investment Banking Capital Markets Asset Management or Brokerage environments.

Compensation: We are offering between $100,000– $115,000. Applications will be accepted until Aug 28, 2026.
