Job summary

PNC is seeking a Design Systems & Operations Lead to scale design quality and delivery across Research, Experience Design, and Design System teams. You will own the design delivery ecosystem, define operating models, and drive cross-crew alignment with product and engineering partners.

You will partner with Design Leadership to shape the DesignOps strategy and execute as a hands-on senior IC, blending delivery leadership with design system governance and selective hands-on work.

Qualifications

• Must-have experience with scaling and governing Design Systems.
• Strong UX and product design fundamentals across end-to-end lifecycles.
• Proven ability to establish or improve DesignOps functions, workflows, or operating models.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments and cross-functional delivery at scale.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and design-to-development parity.

Responsibilities

• Own design delivery system health and cross-crew orchestration across Research, Experience Design, and Design System teams.
• Lead intake, work shaping, prioritization, and delivery readiness with clear ownership and success measures.
• Define stage gates and manage dependencies, blockers, and governance to maintain delivery flow.
• Create visibility into design work, measure health and adoption of Design System, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to align Product, Design, and Engineering around system usage and standards.
