Job summary

Design Within Reach in New York City is seeking an Assistant Manager in Flatiron (Finance) to lead by example, coach sales teams, and drive client relationships for high-end furnishings. You will balance store operations with client-focused selling, supporting leadership initiatives and product storytelling.

The role reports to the General Manager and offers a base salary with commission, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with direct reports, peers, and clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow your business weekly by leveraging company programs to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Assist in maintaining the store's design and visual standards using merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations.
• Travel for in-home client consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Directly manage all Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
