Design Within Reach is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead in the absence of the General Manager. You will balance client interactions, leadership initiatives, sales coaching, training, and talent acquisition while partnering with the General Manager to achieve sales goals and educate clients on our iconic product stories in detail.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with direct reports, peers, and clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office, web navigation, and 3-D rendering tools.

Responsibilities

• Grow business weekly using company programs to meet/exceed sales goals.
• Maintain store design and visual standards per merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations.
• Travel for in-home client consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Attend store meetings and product training; utilize catalog/website to increase knowledge.
• Directly manage all Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
