Job summary

Design Within Reach is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the store in the absence of the General Manager. You will balance client interactions with leadership initiatives, sales coaching, training, and talent acquisition. You will partner with the General Manager to hit store sales goals and educate clients on our iconic products.

You will manage Sales Assistants and Studio Interns, travel for in-home consultations, and participate in trainings to grow product and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and trust with direct reports, peers, and clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office software and basic 3-D rendering tools.

Responsibilities

• Grow your business weekly by using company programs to manage client lifecycle and meet sales goals.
• Maintain store design and visual standards using merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations.
• Travel for in-home client consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Attend store meetings and product trainings to increase product knowledge.
• Directly manage all Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
