Job summary

Stellantis seeks a Design Release Engineer for the Powertrain Engineering team. You will drive design and release for automatic transmissions, electric drive modules, and driveline actuators, while leading technical infrastructure and ensuring quality and warranty considerations.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with suppliers, and present to leadership on technical progress. A strong background in mechanical design, CAE, and team leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of design and release experience for actuator components (gears, bearings, bushings, shafts, housings).
• Significant CAE/virtual analysis experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership; comfortable presenting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Design and release responsibility for key automatic transmission and driveline actuators.
• Lead design reviews, best practices, and continuous improvements in the release process.
• Lead infrastructure for documentation, specifications, and signoffs with suppliers and tier components.
• Support warranty and quality topics.
• Coach, train, and mentor less experienced engineers.
