Job summary

Stellantis NV seeks a Design Release Engineer to join the Powertrain Engineering team in Alabama. You will drive design release for automatic transmissions, electric drive modules, and driveline actuators, while leading documentation, specs, and supplier signoffs. Strong CAE and leadership are essential.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in actuator design release, with experience in gears, bearings, shafts and GRP housings. Masters preferred. On-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in design and release of actuator components (gears, bearings, bushings, shafts, GRP housings).
• Significant virtual analysis and CAE design experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; able to present to exec leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and release responsibility for key components and performance standards for automatic transmissions and driveline actuators.
• Lead SSTS, best practices, lessons learned integration into release process.
• Lead technical infrastructure: documentation, specs, drawings signoffs with suppliers and tier 1/2/3.
• Support warranty and quality topics.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers.
