Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services is seeking a Design Project Engineer I at our Blue Bell, PA headquarters to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary design projects in life sciences facilities. You will coordinate design activities, ensure compliance with standards, and support planning, cost estimates, RFIs, and vendor submittals throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Min. 7 years of progressive engineering experience in technical project roles.
• Experience in the AEC, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences industries preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College in Engineering or a related field.
• Expertise in engineering design programs and BIM tools e.g., Navisworks.
• General knowledge of system design and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and coordination for multidisciplinary design projects.
• Ensure design compliance with safety, quality, client design guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Support development of the project equipment list and coordinate input across disciplines.
• Lead and facilitate regular design coordination and review meetings.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, BIM teams, contractors, and vendors to meet contractual obligations.
• Monitor design content and progress for quality against basis of design documents, schedule, and budget.
• Support change management by identifying design changes and preparing change notices.
• Assist in providing accurate estimates to complete.
• Respond to RFIs with necessary design revisions and review vendor submittals.
