Job summary

CCS in Detroit is seeking a Project Lead to support Design Core Detroit by providing administrative, organizational and technical support to achieve program goals.

You will manage registrations, reporting, and communications, recruit member businesses, and deliver coaching on small business operations and project planning. The role requires strong organizational skills, multi-project handling, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Desire to reach beyond what’s expected.
• Experience in business, design, or economic development roles with increasing responsibility.
• Strong background in small business or entrepreneurship coaching and development.
• Proven organizational and time management skills; capable of multi-project work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel locally, nationally or internationally.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily administration of Design Core Detroit’s programs including registration, payments, reporting, onboarding, events.
• Recruit and retain members; deliver benefits; manage communications.
• Provide tech assistance and coaching on small business operations.
• Assist clients with drafting scope of work, milestones, deliverables and budgets.
• Plan workshops and events, manage registration and follow-up.
• Create weekly membership newsletter.
• Audit the Designer Directory and update membership status.
• Report program metrics; participate in meetings.
• Lead drafting copy for grant proposals or reports.
