Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Director of Capital Projects to lead planning, development, and execution of major expansion and redevelopment across the Detroit convention center campus. You will manage multi-year initiatives from design through closeout, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence in a live-event environment.

The role requires 15+ years in capital project delivery, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate internal teams with outside partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field. 15+ years field exp. in large-scale capital projects; CM/PM background preferred.
• Experience leading capital expansion, redevelopment, and construction projects across complex facilities.
• Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of major expansion projects including facility expansion, new construction, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Define long-term strategy with executive leadership and board members.
• Direct multiple large-scale projects and provide executive-level reporting on status, risks, and budgets.
