Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Hartford, CT seeks a Manager, Project Designer to lead design for assigned accounts, implement workplace strategy, and support design staff. You will work with Real Estate, Move Managers, Occupancy Planners and other CRE team members to deliver space solutions and client presentations.

The role requires a degree in Architecture or Interior Design, 5–8 years of related experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, REVIT a plus), and proficiency with CAFM software and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design (NCIDQ a plus).
• 5–8 years’ experience in interior design, architecture, space planning, or a related mix.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• AutoCAD proficiency required; REVIT a plus.
• Experience with CAFM software (Serraview, Manhattan, Center Stone, Planon, Archibus, etc).
• Strong programming and space planning for varied space sizes; reading construction documents.
• Familiar with programming standards, documentation, and project systems organization.
• Excellent organization, documentation, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork, with client relationship focus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for assigned account and lead design teams.
• Implement workplace standards and client business needs in documented processes.
• Deliver space standards and suggest improvements to optimize space efficiency.
• Create test fits and workplace concepts to meet client requirements.
• Develop final client proposals and ensure procurement-friendly furniture specs.
• Coordinate with CRE team members and external partners.
• Prepare data analytics and space solutions for client presentations.
• Review preliminary space plans for safety, function, and code compliance.
• Maintain organized project files and manage MACs (Moves, Adds, Changes).
• Provide project progress reports during and after implementation.
• Direct selection of colors, materials, finishes for concept conveyance.
• Maintain CAFM data supporting space allocation plans.
• Train and develop design talent assigned to accounts.
