Job summary

Omega AS in Norway is seeking a Design Manager to lead design activities across the lifecycle of data center projects, ensuring solutions meet client requirements, specs, budget, and schedules. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, interface with clients, consultants, and contractors, and drive design reviews, risk management, and value engineering to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in design management, engineering management, or project delivery.
• Experience from large-scale data center, industrial, mission-critical, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and data center infrastructure.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and external consultants.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete design process from concept to construction support.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, telecom).
• Ensure design deliverables meet requirements, schedules, and quality standards.
• Monitor design progress and resolve technical issues.
• Manage design reviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Commissioning Managers, and clients.
• Support procurement by reviewing technical specs and supplier submissions.
• Coordinate design changes and change control processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, building codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Drive value engineering to optimize outcomes.
