Job summary

Wayfair is seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape end-to-end Financing and Pay experiences across app, mobile, and web. You will own the rationale behind design decisions, linking insights to customer and business goals, and simplify complex Checkout flows.

You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive accessible, polished design with efficient processes and AI-enabled delivery. Hybrid in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Design experience with case studies showing systems thinking and business impact.
• Strong command of Figma and design systems practices.
• Experience designing large-scale consumer products in e-commerce, FinTech or Checkout flows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with partners.
• Data-driven mindset with use of A/B testing and user research to validate solutions.
• Mentoring, documentation, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, HCI, or Industrial Design, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UX/product design vision for Financing & Pay experiences across app, mobile, and web.
• Own design decisions by linking insights to customer and business goals.
• Simplify Checkout flows and design wallet integrations.
• Improve financial and payment experiences to create repeatable user journeys.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define requirements and roadmaps.
• Navigate ambiguous problems using data, user research, and rapid iteration.
• Mentor junior designers and uphold accessibility, visual polish, and developer handoff.
