Job description

Work Model: This is a hybrid-onsite role. Employees are expected to be in our Boston, MA office Tuesday through Thursday, and work remotely on Mondays and Fridays

About The Role

As a Product Designer II on our Customer Technology Experience Design team, you will partner closely with the Loyalty team to focus on executing key user experiences for the Wayfair Credit Card, designing high-polish flows that seamlessly connect into our broader loyalty ecosystem.

In this high-visibility role, you will serve as a hands-on tactical executor crafting seamless, end-to-end user journeys for the credit card experience—from application flows and account management to rewards redemption. Working under the guidance and mentorship of a Senior Design Lead, you will focus on executing credit card touchpoints while ensuring every interaction across the core shopping funnel instills trust and feels intuitive, transparent, and cohesive.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive Tactical Execution & Craft: Deliver high-polish, consumer-grade UI and interaction design across mobile apps and responsive web for complex, multi-step customer flows.
  • Build Ecosystem Cohesion: Design tailored tactical touchpoints—such as credit card application flows, benefits discovery, and rewards dashboards—while ensuring they integrate naturally into our overarching Loyalty framework and core shopping funnel.
  • Manage Complex Edge Cases & Partner Constraints: Solve nuanced design challenges by adhering to contractual obligations with our credit card provider, third-party vendor integrations, and complex business logic across various customer state transitions.
  • Establish User Trust & Transparency: Design secure, clear, and transparent experiences that build customer confidence when interacting with sensitive personal details (PII) and credit card application touchpoints.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally & Externally: Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, and commercial teams, as well as external credit card provider teams, to translate complex requirements into scalable, technically feasible solutions.
  • Leverage & Contribute to Systems: Utilize Figma components, variants, and our internal design system to maintain UI polish, build high-fidelity prototypes, and ensure clear, efficient developer handoffs.
What You’ll Need
  • 2+ years of Product Design experience with a portfolio showcasing strong craft, end-to-end execution, and thoughtful UI/UX solutions for responsive web and mobile apps.
  • Deep fluency in Figma, UI components, variants, rapid prototyping, and design systems practices.
  • Detail-oriented problem solving with a strong focus on edge cases, user state management, and clear information hierarchy.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate design choices, present work effectively, and collaborate cross-functionally across internal teams and external partner contacts.
  • E-Commerce, Loyalty, or Credit Card/Rewards program experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of trust and transparency design principles when handling sensitive customer account details and application data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience.
