Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Design Lead to deliver capital project design across global sites from Indianapolis. You will lead design standards, coordinate with Project Managers, and manage A/E firms to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery that meets regulatory and quality expectations.

The role demands a BS in Engineering and 10+ years in pharma/API environments, with strong project management and the ability to influence at all levels. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years manufacturing/engineering experience in pharma or API.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; visa sponsorship not offered.
• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Pharmaceutical process or project engineering experience would be an advantage.
• Strong project management and stakeholder influence skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in selecting Engineering Design Standards and regulatory guidance.
• Oversee overall design delivery for capital projects.
• Coordinate design with Project Manager across all design phases.
• Develop design requirements and schedule for the project.
• Engage A/E firms and monitor earned value progress systems.
• Ensure design meets approved intent and quality standards.
• Resolve design-related issues and drive improvements to hours plan.
• Support value engineering and KPI reviews.
