Job summary

RTX is seeking a Design for Excellence (DFX) Lead to drive the integration and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) across the Advanced Products & Solutions portfolio. The role reports to the APS Chief Engineer and is based onsite in McKinney, TX or El Segundo, CA, with travel as needed.

You will lead cross-functional teams to implement DTUPC, DFMA, DFMT, and DFS, translating design into manufacturable products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM is required.
12+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Secret U.S. government security clearance required prior to start.

Responsibilities

Lead the integration and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) requirements across the APS portfolio.
Establish NPI requirements in the program technical baseline and manage lifecycle phases from development to sustainment.
Implement and optimize design for excellence capabilities (DTUPC, DFMA, DFMT, DFS) across programs.
Coordinate cross-functional partnerships with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality on NPIs.
Drive organizational and cultural change in a complex matrixed environment.
Support updates to Raytheon policies to shift product development direction.
Travel up to 25% to support SBU & Raytheon activities.
