Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical departments for the NASA Langley CMOE program. This role reports to the Engineering Director and requires ensuring deliverables meet scope, budget, and schedule.

You will oversee multiple design projects, coordinate disciplines, support proposal development, and manage resources within a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• BS degree from an accredited engineering school and 8–12 years of engineering experience (or MS degree and 7–10 years, or PhD and 2–5 years).
• Demonstrated leadership, resource management, and project policy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage Design Engineering departments: Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical.
• Oversee design engineering projects of all sizes and complexities.
• Assist in proposal development and project management for multiple projects.
• Lead discussions on objectives, scope, and budget with client and internal teams.
• Direct and supervise execution, scheduling, and reviews within budget.
• Evaluate performance and balance workload across projects.
