Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified professional to join the Engineering team supporting the NASA Langley Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Contract (CMOE). The role reports to the Projects Manager and involves managing engineering projects across disciplines, coordinating with clients, and leading project teams.

Qualifications include an engineering degree with relevant experience and PMI/CMRP certification or commitment to obtain.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• BS degree from an accredited engineering school with 5–10 years of engineering experience including 3+ years in project management, or an MS degree with 3–5 years and at least 2 years in project management.
• Demonstrated competence in project management and technical competence in discipline field(s) and knowledge of company policies and practices.
• PMI and PMP/CMRP certification or plans to obtain within 2 years of hire.
• Preferred: knowledge of DBIA best practices; experience in DBIA execution.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
• Knowledgeable in budget reporting and related project management programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects of all sizes, disciplines, and complexity, and/or multiple projects.
• Lead a team to develop required documentation and deliverables within budget and schedule constraints.
• Monitor scope, schedule, and budget; resolve conflicts with management as needed.
• Evaluate performance of project team members.
• Occasionally perform project management activities for in-house design services/projects.
