Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Construction Project Coordinator to support the CMoe team at NASA Langley Research Center. The role requires coordinating projects from inception through closeout, estimating, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Strong MS Office skills and experience with AutoCAD/MAXIMO are preferred.

U.S. Citizenship is required. The position involves on-site work at facilities with travel between offices and sites as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; two years of college with courses in engineering and six years of related experience preferred. Total of eight years.
• Effective oral and written communication with use of visual aids.
• Experience in building and/or systems construction, management and cost estimating preferred.
• Construction trades knowledge with emphasis on Mechanical/HVAC.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MAXIMO is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction projects from initial request to closeout, including planning, estimating, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking.
• Create independent construction estimates using RSMeans Construction Cost Data.
• Read engineered drawings and specifications to identify project scope and assist with drawings/spec development.
• Develop drawings and specifications for construction projects.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint; produce professional letters and reports.
• Apply project management principles and maintain customer communication; manage multiple projects with varying phases.
