Job summary

Goken, headquartered in Dublin, OH, is seeking an experienced engineer to support large scale product development. You will lead design activities using CATIA V5/V6, create 2D drawings and BOM, and drive cost optimization across programs.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 5+ years in mechanical design with strong DFM, communication, and MS Office skills. Occasional travel to client sites is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Specialties in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive or Manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering activities for large scale product development by feasibility studies, 3-D modeling, layout reviews, and 2D drawings.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Create part specifications and BOM.
• Negotiate with component units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
• Apply best practices to improve products and processes.
• Identify ways to increase efficiency and reduce design and parts costs.
• Travel to client sites as required.
