Job summary

Goken America, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, seeks an engineering professional to support large-scale product development through design and analysis. You will lead and support engineering activities, create 2D drawings, perform layout reviews, and develop BOMs using 3-D modeling tools (CATIA V5).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2–5 years in product development or equivalent experience.
• Experience with 3-D modeling tools, CATIA V5 preferred.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering activities for large-scale product development programs; investigate feasibility, design with 3-D modeling, create layouts and 2D drawings.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Create part specifications and BOMs.
• Negotiate with component business units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selection.
• Apply best practices to improve products and processes.
• Seek ways to increase efficiency, utilize current technology, and reduce design and part costs.
• Travel to client sites required.

Summary

This role will support engineering design and development activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Create part specification requirements and BOM.
• Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
• Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs
• Travel to client sites required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2-5 years relevant industry experience or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years relevant industry experience or Associate's degree and 5+ years relevant industry experience.
• Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
• Experience using 3-D modeling software tools (CATIA V5 preferred).
• Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS office.
