Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2–5 years in product development or equivalent experience.
• Experience with 3-D modeling tools, CATIA V5 preferred.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering activities for large-scale product development programs; investigate feasibility, design with 3-D modeling, create layouts and 2D drawings.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Create part specifications and BOMs.
• Negotiate with component business units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selection.
• Apply best practices to improve products and processes.
• Seek ways to increase efficiency, utilize current technology, and reduce design and part costs.
• Travel to client sites required.
