Job summary

Goken seeks an experienced mechanical design engineer to support engineering design and development activities. The role focuses on large-scale product development using 3-D modeling, 2-D drawings, and DFMEA/GD&T knowledge.

The successful candidate will lead engineering tasks, collaborate across disciplines, perform cost and material analysis, and help advance design feasibility from styling data to release, with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years experience or equivalent.
• DFMEA and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience using CATIA V5/V6 for 3-D modeling and 2-D drawings.
• Experience across materials and manufacturing processes; DFM principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for large-scale product development programs, including 3-D modeling, layout review, and 2-D drawings.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
• Create part specifications and BOM.
• Negotiate with component units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
• Improve product/process with best practices and updated tech.
• Identify ways to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Travel to client sites as required.
