Job summary

Goken America, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, seeks an engineer to support concept design in CATIA 3DX for interior lighting. The role requires 5+ years in product development and extensive CATIA experience, with attention to DFM and cost-conscious design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years relevant industry experience.
• Specialties in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing preferred.
• 5+ years of experience using 3-D modeling CATIA V5/V6.
• 2+ years of parametric modeling in CATIA V6.
• 5+ years of experience in Interior or Exterior Lighting.
• Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Create part specification requirements and BOM.
• Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
• Use best practices to improve product and/or processes.
• Search new ways to increase efficiency and reduce design costs.
• Travel to client sites required.

• Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs
• Travel to client sites required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years relevant industry experience.
• Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience using 3-D modeling software tools - CATIA V5/V6
• 2+ years of experience with parametric modeling in CATIA V6 is a must.
• 5+ years of experience in Interior or Exterior Lighting
• Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS office.

The pay range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base pay only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.

California Pay Range: $65 USD - $68 USD
