Job summary

Goken is seeking a Design Release Engineer to drive design from concept through production of vehicle components and subsystems. You will build strong partnerships with design, validation, procurement and manufacturing for successful program launches.

Responsibilities include delivering 3D CAD and drawings, guiding cost/weight/quality targets, coordinating with suppliers, and performing DFMEA and GD&T. You will lead reviews, mentor peers, and stay abreast of new technologies to improve products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with preferred Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive or Manufacturing specialties.
10+ years of chassis product development experience.
3+ years in developing suspension arms, linkages, ball joints, air suspension parts, hydraulic lines, etc.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T; experience with 3D CAD and drawings in CATIA.

Responsibilities

Design and release vehicle system components from concept to production.
Develop components from concept through production and meet cost/weight/performance targets.
Coordinate with purchasing, suppliers, testing, manufacturing and other subsystems.
Ensure quality of 3D CAD and technical drawings; provide system analysis for issues.
Lead design reviews and mentor others in a cross-functional environment.
Stay current with new technologies and contribute to cost reduction initiatives.
Travel as required.
