Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a mechanical design engineer to lead power-sports vehicle subsystem development from concept to production.

You will define requirements, validate designs, and coordinate with program architects, product management, and suppliers to meet performance and cost targets. The role requires 2+ years in design engineering, strong Creo skills (Windchill preferred), and solid knowledge of GD&T, FMEA, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of design engineering experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (stamping, molding, extrusions, weldments).
• Strong CAD skills with Creo preferred; FEA experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEA, tolerance stack-up analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of vehicle systems from concept through production.
• Create and maintain subsystem requirements, DFMEAs and DVP&Rs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to meet objectives.
• Develop engineering drawings and release design docs on schedule.
• Lead design reviews and address field issues with corrective actions.
