Job summary

Polaris Inc. seeks a Powertrain Design Manager to lead a team of Design Staff supporting Powertrain projects, including layout designers and engineers, in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor engineers, drive design quality, and partner with cross-functional teams to allocate resources and enable problem-solving using formal methods. Strong communication and Creo proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years with BS in Engineering.
• 10+ years of engine design experience.
• Experience leading multi-person design teams.
• Experience with GD&T, FMEA, DRBFM, DFM and DFA.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage design opportunities to improve product and process quality.
• Lead Design Staff career development through assessments and reviews.
• Hold staff meetings to provide Polaris updates.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects and module leads for resources.
• Mentor peers in engineering calculations and problem solving.
• Guide teams in 3D-CAD design of engine parts and assemblies.
• Ensure highest design standards and accountability.
• Present and influence diverse audiences with clarity.
