Job summary

Polaris Inc. seeks a senior electrical systems engineer to define platform requirements and architectures for future Polaris Powersports platforms.

You will collaborate with vehicle architects, systems engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant electrical solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory standards. The role includes long-range planning, high-level requirements, and DFMEA/HARA activities, with close partnership across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with circuit design and system-level design.
  • Familiarity with CAN systems and wire harness design.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-range product plans aligning system needs with customer requirements and technology roadmaps.
  • Define high-level system and feature requirements for new solutions and technologies.
  • Support hazard analysis and DFMEA activities for new feature development.
  • Review cybersecurity assessments and integrate requirements into architectures.
  • Collaborate with vehicle architects, systems engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable electrical architectures.
  • Develop testing strategies and plans in collaboration with engineers and suppliers.
