Job summary

Diversified is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Project Engineering Electronic Security Systems team in Kenilworth, NJ. The role supports the design lifecycle from sales concept to construction administration and collaborates with support teams to deliver secure ESS solutions.

The DE will work under Senior Design Engineers, contribute to proposals and drawings, and help manage client expectations while developing expertise in ESS projects and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical systems designing.
• Ability to get a government issued Top Secret Clearance (US-based only).
• Understanding of project phases: Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction and Commissioning.
• Thorough understanding of construction process, installation, and integration as well as architectural drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop specifications, designs, budgets, timelines and manage client expectations.
• Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements.
• Provide technical coordination for architecture, installation and planning of electronic security solutions.
• Develop ESS project estimates and proposals.
• Create BOM and supporting documentation.
• Produce detailed 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC drawings.
• Research and recommend technology options for clients.
• May interact with clients and contribute to P&L performance.
