Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) team. You will design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain security services for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to deliver projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring compliant, reliable systems and high performance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure compliant security systems.
• Review all technical submittals before issuing to the client; collaborate with engineers and PMs.
• Support lifecycle of large-scale construction projects as on-site project engineer.
• Manage Bluebeam sessions for redlining drawings and ensure up-to-date information.
• Participate in coordination calls to ensure proper communication and delivery.
• Attend coordination calls with contractors to coordinate security drawings and installation.
• Track revisions, RFIs, submittals, and BOMs through project lifecycle.
• Lead design review sessions and client-facing reviews.
• Develop design standards and installation/playbooks.
• Assist on pre-assembly and pre-installation testing and checkout of security equipment.
• Track installation progress using internal iOS app.
• Support testing and commissioning activities and punch list management.
• Work with field technicians to troubleshoot and commission equipment.
