Job summary

Diversified in the United States seeks a Design Engineer to support Project Engineering Electronic Security Systems, from sales concept to design development through construction support. You will work with Senior Design Engineers, mentor others, and contribute to client design projects using AutoCAD, BIM, and modern workflow tools within a global resource network.

This role emphasizes delivering security solutions, estimating projects, BOMs, and drawings while building long-term client

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associates degree required and/or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM and MS Office 365
• Certifications or training with Milestone and Lenel preferred
• Certifications or training with Genetec, Avigilon and S2 preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position.

Responsibilities

• Develop specs, designs, budgets, and timelines with clients and engineering team.
• Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements.
• Provide technical coordination for architecture, installation and planning of electronic security solutions.
• Develop ESS project estimates and proposals.
• Create BOMs and supporting documentation.
• Prepare 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC drawings.
• Research and recommend technology options for clients.
• Interact with clients and contribute to P&L performance.
• Learn client standards and maintain long-lasting partnerships.
• Stay current with industry publications and trainings.
• Provide direction to junior engineers.
• Attend manufacturer trainings and lead lunch and learns.
