Job summary

Schneider Electric in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a Security Systems Design Engineer 2 to lead technical delivery on integrated security and IT systems for buildings. You will develop detailed hardware designs, collaborate with customers and subs, and drive projects through design, installation and commissioning, deploying Lenel, Genetec, Amag and related systems.

This role requires 2–4 years in physical security, a technical degree, and local presence in the NYC area; a competitive total rewards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology or related field.
• Local to Lyndhurst, New Jersey or New York City area.
• Hands-on experience with basic electrical circuits and digital systems.
• 2–4 years of experience in the physical security industry.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed hardware design drawing packages using AutoCAD and Visio for deployment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve design and project requirements.
• Review project plans, budgets and proposals to support deliverables.
• Lead construction coordination through RFIs, site visits and meetings.
• Develop change order cost estimates and manage site surveys for progress.
