Crate and Barrel is seeking a Designer to deliver elevated design experiences in-store, in-home and virtually. You will create moodboards, 2D/3D floor plans and presentations for clients, leading consultations and guiding them through design options and loyalty services.

The role emphasizes strong communication, knowledge of brand aesthetics, and the ability to stay current with design trends across channels. A customer-service mindset and tech-savvy approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in Furniture Sales/Home Decor Design or retail/customer service
• Experience working one-on-one with clients and recommending solutions
• Proficient in Google platforms, virtual communication; design tool experience preferred
• Understanding of design functions including spatial planning, fabrics, lighting

Responsabilités

• Drive sales and a differentiated experience by providing enriching customer interactions and elevated design offerings in-store, in-home and virtually
• Create elevated designs using moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, product lists and client presentations
• Lead design consultations in person or via email, phone and virtual
• Deliver projects in a timely manner within determined timelines
• Understand brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel; Store, E‑Commerce, Catalog
• Stay informed on product details, care information and industry trends
• Meet sales, KPI and service goals while demonstrating selling skills
• Listen to customers to identify products meeting needs and explain loyalty services
• Provide excellent service with a positive attitude and prompt assistance
• Support design service training for clear understanding of offerings
• Develop relationships with customers through networking and clienteling
• Have knowledge of basic design functions including spatial planning, fabrics, lighting
• Stay up to date on current design trends
