Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Construction Design/Build Project Manager (DBM) to lead projects from concept through final handoff. You’ll own estimating, scheduling, cost tracking, design coordination, and on-site communication with clients and subcontractors.

You’ll partner with design teams to shape preliminary concepts into buildable solutions, guide bid proposals, manage safety, quality, and budget, and ensure client satisfaction with every milestone.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited undergraduate/graduate program in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering
• Interest in design/build and tilt-up concrete, industrial builds
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Lead every facet of the project from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety, and proposal development
• Deliver detailed, reliable project estimates
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape concepts into buildable solutions
• Participate in proposal meetings, refine scope, reduce costs, and provide value-driven insights
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout
• Drive on-site communication with bi-weekly site meetings
• Make decisions under pressure with calm, focused leadership
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to align scope, schedule, and budget
• Champion quality and continuous improvement, transform client feedback into outcomes
