Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Louisville, KY is seeking a Construction Design/Build Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of design/build projects, from concept through final walkthrough. You’ll lead estimating, scheduling, cost tracking, design coordination, and subcontractor buyouts.

Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape concepts into buildable solutions, drive on-site communication, maintain scope, budget, and schedule, and deliver high-quality results with integrity.

Qualifications

• Accredited undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural/Construction Management/Building Science/Construction Engineering.
• Interest in design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds.
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
• Strong verbal communication, attention to detail, and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead every facet of the project from start to finish including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety and proposal development.
• Deliver detailed, reliable project estimates.
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into buildable solutions.
• Participate in proposal meetings to refine scope and costs, and provide engineering insights.
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout to ensure cost-effective partnerships.
• Drive bi-weekly on-site meetings to align teams and monitor progress.
• Make decisions under pressure to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to maintain scope, schedule and budget.
• Champion quality and continuous improvement, turning feedback into outcomes.
