Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. seeks a Construction Design/Build Project Manager (DBM) to oversee the full lifecycle of complex construction projects.

You will lead estimating, scheduling, design coordination, and cost tracking while collaborating with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into buildable solutions. The role emphasizes on-site leadership, bi-weekly site meetings, and delivering value-driven engineering insights.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• Demonstrated interest in the construction process, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds, etc.
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Lead every facet of the project from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety, and proposal development
• Deliver accurate, detailed, reliable project estimates for successful execution
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to turn preliminary concepts into buildable solutions
• Influence scope and provide value-driven engineering insights during proposal meetings
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout to ensure top-tier talent and cost-effectiveness
• Drive bi-weekly on-site meetings to align teams and resolve challenges
• Make confident decisions under pressure to keep projects on track
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to maintain scope, schedule, and budget
• Champion quality and continuous improvement across processes and outcomes
• Turn client feedback into measurable results that exceed expectations
• Lead with integrity and deliver with purpose to ensure client satisfaction
