Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is offering an internship/co-op for Civil/Mechanical/Architectural/Construction Management students in Indianapolis. You will experience the full lifecycle of a project, from concept through completion, while working with seasoned professionals who support your growth.

You’ll participate in design meetings, site visits, and routine reporting, gaining hands-on experience in estimating, scheduling, buyout, permitting, and submittals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program.
• Driver’s License required.
• Excellent verbal communication, detail orientation, and work ethic.
• Previous co-op or intern experience in construction is preferred but not required.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a construction project.
• Attend design meetings with owner and design team (engineers and architects).
• Shadow project calls and site meetings with DBMs.
• Prepare weekly reports and track action items.
• Assist with buyout, permitting, submittals, and billing processes.
• Visit job sites with DBMs to monitor progress.
